2012 Junior II Champs – National Shag Dance Championship – BEYOND COOL! What fabulous dancers already – Kayla Henley is 15 and Jeremy Webb is 17!!! The Shag has been the inspiration for the South Carolina State Dance 1984, and has spawned innumerable dance contests like the National Shag Dance.

Makes me want to dance!!!!

The Eagles sang, “I got a peaceful easy feeling…”

I have called my style of Tai-Chi Meditation In Motion.  I produced two Tai-Chi videos in the 80′s and 90′s and had my own TV show in Athens, Ohio.  I have taught from Seattle, to Athens, and in California.  I studied in 1972 in Seattle, in San Francisco and Taipei, Taiwan.   Never did I feel more peaceful than when I was practicing and teaching Tai-Chi Chuan for over 30 years.  Breathing with movement has the power to block those outside worries and allow one to gently face the stresses of life.  I continue to use my Tai-Chi breathing today, as a form of meditation… and for that I am truly grateful.  The art of Tai-Chi has been practiced for centuries around the world.  I cherish my gift. pdd

Dancing cures the blues!

Image I

If it looks like I am the only person on the dance floor it is an illusion, there is one young girl who has the same bug I do.  We danced and twirled to the dj a few weeks ago as other adults stood in the shadows, at the door and at their tables wondering who this grown senior citizen was gettin down like there was no tomorrow.

I don’t give a hoot…

I finally realize that I am able to dance as if no one is watching.

If you don’t know how many steps it took to get in my shoes, feeling unafraid… it took decades!

If you do know how many steps it took, you are either a really healthy person or you are in a 12 step program like me and have done lots of work on yourself.

Either way… we are truly blessed to be free.

Gotta go, hear my favorite song!!!!

The team after carb packing with OTL buddies last night… Off to Fiesta Island to warm up!

Here we go! Hubby and I made a commitment to re start the Insanity Workout after a hiatus of a few months. We did it for a year and even made it thru the Max burn workout series… where does the time go? It is too easy to break a “good habit”, like exercise with one excuse after another. I am saying this out loud because I want to make progress in my health regime. I am doing good with the eating portion, taking my daily supplements, and drinking quarts of water. Now I need to add this one important piece to my health puzzle. No excuses! No alibis! No denial! No procrastination! At least that is my vow for today! I will be reporting my progress daily, because saying it out loud affirms my efforts… Wish me luck, and anyone want to join me? Please post here if you are up for the challenge – I DARE YOU! xo P This is us on our starting date, hopefully our bodies will shrink with the Insanity Workout plan!!! LOL
